Wire Cutting

Mold tooling with modern machines - Your project is in good hands

Wire-cut EDM, Wire erosion

The application of wire eroding or wire-cut EDM allows for the shaping of the most complex geometries of contoured components in injection moulding. Depending on the application, wire erosion in connection with electrical discharge erosion can be an economically advantageous alternative to milling, e.g., if parts are used that are difficult to clamp or if very deep and narrow recesses are required.

Overview of eroding machines

              Wire eroding machine

                   Work piece dimensions: 700x500

                   X-Y-Z travel path: 360x250x250 max.30°

Work piece weight up to 1500 kg

              Wire eroding machine

                   Work piece dimensions: 800x650

                   X-Y-Z travel path: 350x250x150 max.30°

Work piece weight up to 1200 kg

              Wire-cut EDM machine

                   Work piece dimensions: 560x450

                   X-Y-Z travel path: 400x320x300

Work piece weight up to 600 kg

Wire-cut EDM is an economically significant technology in mold toolings. The most complex geometries with the highest degree of precision can be achieved with wire erosion, even when using the hardest type of steel.
